Hey Wildcat fans, let’s try this again… Join us for another Fill-it-up game when the Boys and Girls Basketball teams host our Crosstown Rival the Southview Cougars. The theme for the game is Military Appreciation Night and it’s a Black Out. The first 400 students will receive a black t-shirt. Like last week, you’ll need to pick-up a ticket for your t-shirt prior to today’s game. You can get your t-shirt ticket by purchasing a game ticket or showing your sports pass during all lunch periods. If you received a ticket from last week, no worries, that ticket will work tonight. If you purchased a ticket but can’t make it this week, please return your tickets to the main office. Once again, Chick-fil-a will be available in the concession stand.

Attention Students: Are you looking for some entertainment this weekend? Look no further, come out and see Cat’s Meow! The show is on Saturday @ 7:30 and Sunday @ 2:30! All money raised goes towards Prom! You will not want to miss this fun show!

Help the swim team give cancer the boot on their last home meet, Tuesday, January 23rd against Maumee. Make a $1.00 donation to get a boot in honor or in memory of a loved one. All proceeds benefit the Victory Center. Boots will be posted in the Natatorium the day of the event! Boots will be on sale during lunch periods, Friday and Monday, January 19th and 22nd.

Attention Juniors: The next step in preparing for the ACT in March by taking the College Prep Challenge is coming soon. You have an opportunity to take a full length practice ACT here at Northview on Saturday, January 27th. Taking a full length practice ACT will be very helpful, as you will see both the content on the ACT, and better understand the time constraints. Stop by the guidance office today to pick up a registration form.

Parents: The NV Annual Garage & Bake Sale will be on Saturday, February 3rd, from 9-3 p.m. in our cafeteria. Donations will be accepted Saturdays prior to the sale by the tennis courts from 9-1 p.m. Please collect items to donate to this After Prom fundraiser and drop them off this weekend! Any questions or concerns, please contact Julie Sample at jsample@co.lucas.oh.us or Kate Conway at conwayfamily@bex.net.

Students: Volunteer hours will be given to any student who helps out at the annual Garage and Bake Sale on Saturday, February 3rd. Volunteers are needed on both Friday and Saturday. Stop down in the main office to sign up.

Musician of the Week: The Northview Musician of the Week is senior Donya Esterson, daughter of Tony and Janeen Esterson. Donya sings Soprano in the Northview A Capella Choir and Harmony Road Show. Donya also is an active member of Northview Theatre Department. This past fall, Donya portrayed the role of Charlotte in Northview’s Fall Musical Cinderella. Apart from her musical activities, Donya is a member of N-Compass Diversity Council, a part of the business technology program and president of Sylvania’s Business Professionals of America chapter. After graduation, Donya plans to study sales and fashion merchandising.

My name is Sue Corron and I will be responsible for creating a senior slide show for your kids as well as my own son. I would really appreciate your help in making this a great send-off for all our kids to enjoy during their final week at Northview.

Please elect one person in your family to email me a baby photo and a senior portrait photo of your graduate-to-be. Please include their first, middle, and last name. I would like to have all the kids’ photos turned in by April 1st! We have a very large graduating class this year and I will need plenty of time to compile and create a video that includes every single senior!

The theme for Friday’s game is Military Appreciation Night and it’s a Black Out. The first 400 students will receive a black t-shirt. Like last week, you’ll need to pick-up a ticket for your t-shirt prior to Friday’s game. You can get your t-shirt ticket by purchasing a game ticket or showing your sports pass during all lunch periods Wednesday thru Friday. If you received a ticket from last week, no worries, that ticket will work on Friday. If you purchased a ticket but can’t make it this week, please return your tickets to the main office. Once again, Chick-fil-a will be available in the concession stand.

Welcome back!

It’s that time of year again… Don’t miss the first Fill-it-up game (it’s a Whiteout) this Friday when our Boys and Girls Basketball teams host the Anthony Wayne Generals. The first 400 students will receive a white Wildcat Mentality t-shirt. You’ll need to pick-up a ticket for your t-shirt prior to Friday’s game. You can get your t-shirt ticket by purchasing a game ticket or showing your sports pass during all lunch periods Wednesday thru Friday. Also, come hungry. Chick-fil-a will be available in the concession stand.

Attention Wildcats – Come join Sylvania’s Business Professionals of America students for an ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKE BREAKFAST at the Village Inn THIS Saturday from 8:30-10:30 am. Enjoy endless amounts of pancakes, bacon and eggs for only $10. Purchase your tickets in advance from Ms. Davis or any BPA student. See you there!

Musician of the Week: The Northview Musician of the Week is senior Kati Garibian, daughter of Lorna and Andrew Garibian. Kati sings Alto in the Northview A Cappella Choir. Kati also is an active member of Northview Theatre Department. Over the past four years Kati has portrayed the roles of Mrs. Strong in Urintown the Musical, Maud Dunlop in The Music Man, and currently portrayed the role of Lady Sebastian in Northview’s Fall Musical Cinderella. Kati has also been involved in the following theatre productions at Northview High School: Moon over Buffalo, A Murder is Announced, Les Misérables and Almost Maine. Apart from her musical activities, Kati is a member of the Drama Club, National Honor Society, involved with her church, and volunteers in her community. After graduation, Kati plans to attend a 4-year university and pursue a career in medicine.

Anyone taking College Credit Plus classes off campus for second semester will need to bring in their printed schedule to their counselor. This is a required step to taking courses off site.
