AP Exams: It’s that time of year again! We are ramping up for AP Exams. Please check your email for your specific exam schedule and details about exam day from Mr. Hede. The last day to drop/cancel and exam is April 30th. If you are testing digitally, you will need to bring your school issued chromebook on exam day. Mentorship Program (previously: LINK Program) If you are interested in becoming a Mentor to the incoming Freshman class, please consider filling out a Mentorship Application. Wolf Creek and Sylvania YMCAs are looking for employees for both our Pool and Sports Teams.
We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to serve as Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, and Coaches.
Swim Instructors help teach swim lessons from ages 6 months and up in our progressive swim lesson program.
Lifeguards will help guard our indoor pool at Wolf Creek and the Sylvania Outdoor Pool. Our Sports program is in need of coaches to help coach basketball, soccer, and baseball. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Sylvania is coming together to raise money for a Southview student who is struggling with MS! When you turn in your recycled aluminum cans we can collect money to go towards helping Raneem! Aluminum cans are being collected from April 12th until April 30th! Bring in all the aluminum cans you have and turn them into Mrs. Blues room E22! Thank you in advance! (cans must be aluminum).

SENIORS As of May 3, you can no longer CHARGE (meaning go negative) on your lunch account. You will need to pack a lunch, have money ON the account or pay cash.

Senior, Jonah Galati, is the Northview High School Musician of the Week. Jonah has been a member of the Northview Band Program all four years of high school.  Jonah has demonstrated strong musicianship and leadership throughout his career here at Northview.  This year, Jonah is a band officer (Vice-President) for the Northview Band.  As a multi-instrumentalist, Jonah demonstrates great musical skill as both a saxophonist and bassoonist.  During his time here at Northview, Jonah has been a member of the Northview Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Pep Bands.  Jonah is also a member of the Toledo Symphony Youth Orchestra.  In addition to music, Jonah is actively involved in National Honors Society.  Jonah is the son of Laura and Tony Galati.

TODAY:  The Arrive Alive Program will bring its simulator to Northview. Students will have the opportunity to use the driving simulator so see what it is like to drive impaired: after using alcohol or while texting.  You will be able to try out the simulator during lunch periods.  It will be set up outside the gym doors to the right of the stage.

You don’t want to miss “A Night Under the Stars”, your exclusive senior prom. This is your first and one of the last memorable times, this year,  to be together as an entire class! Prom Bids go on sale this Monday, April 12th during all lunch hours.  Prom bids will be on sale all week!  You must have a completed Prom Bid form to purchase a bid and a guest form, if bringing a guest that is not a Northview student. The Northview Leadership Academy will be hosting a design competition to help liven up our cafeteria! Students from each grade may work individually or with a small group to come up with a design to paint on one of the four DIVIDERS. Once submitted, a committee will choose the best design from each grade level to be painted. Design submissions will go to School Counselor Mrs. Burnworth, cburnworth@sylvaniaschools.orgDue Date: April 16th. Leave your mark at Northview!

Senior Olivia Hansen is the Northview High School Musician of the Week:  Olivia has been a member of the Northview Band program these past four years.  This year, Olivia is a band officer, secretary, and is a section leader.  Olivia is a great leader in these positions, helping both the directors and her peers throughout the marching and concert seasons.  Olivia is a multi-instrumentalist, playing both flute and piccolo with the band program.  Over the years, Olivia has played in multiple ensembles with our music program.  She has been a member of the Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, & Pep Band.  Olivia has also participated in OMEA and regional festivals.  In addition to her musical activities, Olivia is also involved in NHS and works at Panera. Olivia is the daughter of Marcus and Tonja Hansen.

Lunch Menu for the week of April 12-16:  Thursday: spicy chicken strips OR walking taco Friday: hot pocket OR cheesy bread.

Tomorrow, April 16th: The Arrive Alive Program will bring its simulator to Northview. Students will have the opportunity to use the driving simulator so see what it is like to drive impaired: after using alcohol or while texting.  You will be able to try out the simulator during lunch periods.  It will be set up outside the gym doors to the right of the stage.  

SENIORS: Outside the Main Office is a list of seniors that will be receiving Honors Diplomas and a Presidential Certificate.. This list is by ID # so be sure to know your number.  If you feel you have been omitted and should receive one of these awards please see Mrs. Kobee in the Records Office.

Attention Art Club: Our next Art Club meeting will be Monday, April 19 at 2:30 in room E19A.  We will be taping and painting canvases!  We have a handful of spots left.  Please sign up ahead of time on the sheet by E-19A!

SENIORS: Regarding Prom & After Prom– If you are NOT going to prom but planning on coming to after prom, you MUST sign up during your lunch period and complete the after prom form.  If you are bringing a guest, that is NOT a NV senior, you must complete the guest form and pay $15.00 for the guest. 

Wolf Creek and Sylvania YMCAs are looking for employees for both our Pool and Sports Teams.
We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to serve as Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, and Coaches.
Swim Instructors help teach swim lessons from ages 6 months and up in our progressive swim lesson program.
Lifeguards will help guard our indoor pool at Wolf Creek and the Sylvania Outdoor Pool. Our Sports program is in need of coaches to help coach basketball, soccer, and baseball. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Sylvania is coming together to raise money for a Southview student who is struggling with MS! When you turn in your recycled aluminum cans we can collect money to go towards helping Raneem! Aluminum cans are being collected from April 12th until April 30th! Bring in all the aluminum cans you have and turn them into Mrs. Blues room E22! Thank you in advance! (cans must be aluminum).

SENIORS As of May 3, you can no longer CHARGE (meaning go negative) on your lunch account. You will need to pack a lunch, have money ON the account or pay cash.

You don’t want to miss “A Night Under the Stars”, your exclusive senior prom. This is your first and one of the last memorable times, this year,  to be together as an entire class! Prom Bids go on sale this Monday, April 12th during all lunch hours.  Prom bids will be on sale all week!  You must have a completed Prom Bid form to purchase a bid and a guest form, if bringing a guest that is not a Northview student. The cost per person is $30.00. See your emails for the forms and directions.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Schloegl in room E8.

Attention students who will be attending Northview High School next year!  We are looking for hard-working, energetic, and dedicated students to become part of one of the Biggest and Best Marching Bands in Northwest Ohio, by joining the Northview Wildcat Band Auxiliary!  This is your chance to join the band and show off your abilities and talents! No prior experience necessary, but if you have done dance or other similar activities in the past, you could be a great fit for the auxiliary. Pick up an information packet and permission form outside the band room today! If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Adams, Mr. Heath, or Mrs. Sibert

The Northview Leadership Academy will be hosting a design competition to help liven up our cafeteria! Students from each grade may work individually or with a small group to come up with a design to paint on one of the four DIVIDERS. Once submitted, a committee will choose the best design from each grade level to be painted. Design submissions will go to School Counselor Mrs. Burnworth, cburnworth@sylvaniaschools.orgDue Date: April 16th. Leave your mark at Northview!

If you are interested in being a LIFEGUARD there will be lifeguard class in both April and May. Senior Olivia Hansen is the Northview High School Musician of the Week:  Olivia has been a member of the Northview Band program these past four years.  This year, Olivia is a band officer, secretary, and is a section leader.  Olivia is a great leader in these positions, helping both the directors and her peers throughout the marching and concert seasons.  Olivia is a multi-instrumentalist, playing both flute and piccolo with the band program.  Over the years, Olivia has played in multiple ensembles with our music program.  She has been a member of the Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, & Pep Band.  Olivia has also participated in OMEA and regional festivals.  In addition to her musical activities, Olivia is also involved in NHS and works at Panera. Olivia is the daughter of Marcus and Tonja Hansen.

Reminder: Students are not permitted to have food delivered from restaurants or a delivery service per the Board of Education policy. Students are also not permitted to have flowers/balloon/gifts delivered or dropped off to the school.

The Northview Leadership Academy will be hosting a design competition to help liven up our cafeteria! Students from each grade may work individually or with a small group to come up with a design to paint on one of the four DIVIDERS. Once submitted, a committee will choose the best design from each grade level to be painted. Design submissions will go to School Counselor Mrs. Burnworth, cburnworth@sylvaniaschools.orgDue Date: April 16th. Leave your mark at Northview!

If you are interested in being a LIFEGUARD there will be lifeguard class in both April and May. Email Ms. Huey at shuey@sylvaniaschools.org for more information and to sign up for the class. Students must be at least 15 years old to take the class. Email her ASAP to sign up the April class which starts right after spring break.

Do you want to participate in a Mr. Northview competition, Mr. Pugh’s scavenger hunt, line dances, games, eating pizza, and enjoy the best night of high school?  Don’t miss out on all the fun this year at dance gold!  Pledges and forms are due this week in the media center; it’s not too late!  Dancegold registration forms can be picked up in the cafeteria/aux gym, main office, and media center. They will be due the week of April 5th to Mrs. Omey. Please have your pledge money with you when you turn in your forms.  Participants will be chosen on a first come first serve basis due to limited spots so turn in your forms and pledges as soon as possible. Senior Jack Daschbach is the Northview High School Musician of the WeekJack is the son of John and Patty Daschbach.  He is a four year choir member that sings bass in the Northview A Cappella Choir and Harmony Road Show.  Jack is also a long time member of the Northview Theatre Department and has performed in 8.5 productions here at Northview (Boeing Boeing was cancelled).  Apart from his musical activities, Jack plays piano, reads, plays videogames, and spends time with his family.   After high school, Jack plans to go to Hillsdale College in Michigan and major in either History, Politics, or Pre-law.
