Attention Students:  The building will be open on Monday to gather any items you may have forgotten.

Students: If you are in need of a chromebook due to repair or loss, or a charger, Please see Mrs. Omey TODAY. We want to be sure every student is able to have access while we are gone.  If something happens to your chromebook while we are out, email Mrs. Omey  and she assist you. (domey@sylvaniaschools.org)

Sylvania Area Family Services knows how much families rely on the free and reduced lunch program that’s provided through our school system.
When schools close unexpectedly, making sure that these families have access to food is very important and our priority.

Starting Tuesday, March 17, Sylvania Area Family Services (SAFS) will serve as a meal site for students who are in need of breakfast and lunch throughout the next three weeks.

SAFS will provide meal kits to Sylvania School District students with a 5 day supply of breakfast and lunch items per student. You may pick up you supply bag at SAFS Tuesday-Friday 9AM-3PM. Next week and Monday-Friday 9AM-3PM the following two weeks.

Special Schedule

Seniors:  Tomorrow is the last day to log in your volunteer hours in order to be recognized at the Senior Award Assembly in May.

Attention all Northview students. Interact is holding a food and item drive for the Ronald McDonald House. We need pantry items, like canned foods, pasta, and cereal, as well as cleaning products like wipes, sprays, and tissues. Our donation spots are by the main entrance, AUX gym, and cafeteria! This drive will run next week from March 16th to March 20th so don’t miss out!

Sophomores: Class Ring & Class Jewelry Orders can be placed tonight from 5:30pm to 7:00 pm  or tomorrow during lunches in the Cafeteria. You will need to bring your order form and your down payment. Extra Ordering Packets are available in the Main Office.

Next Thursday, March 19, all items in the lost and found will be donated to
Sylvania Area Community Services. If you are missing anything, please check in
the lost and found outside of Mr. Monheim’s office. There are many items such
as clothes, jackets, water bottles, and school supplies.

The 32nd annual Northview Jazz Festival will be held on Wednesday, March 18th. This year we are proud to announce that our featured guests will be the Bobby Selvaggio Jazz Quartet! The festival will also showcase many of the outstanding high school jazz bands from Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. Performances begin at 4:00 p.m. in the Northview Performing Arts Center. The Featured group, Ohio University Faculty Jazz, will perform at approximately 8:15 p.m. Plan to join us for a great time! There will be a $2 admission charge at the door for adults. (Northview Faculty and all Students get in free)

Are you interested in traveling to France? There will be an informational meeting for the 2021 French Exchange program on Wednesday March 18th at 7pm in E-2. Students that are interested must complete Honors French III to go on the trip. All students are encouraged to attend with a parent! If you have any questions or cannot make the meeting, feel free to stop by Madame Liske’s room

The NV Teachers continued their dominance over the QuizCats yesterday squeaking out a 720 to 620 victory in a heated and boisterous competition. Special thanks to Mr. Roth for providing his talents in reading neutral questions! Also, thanks go out to Ms. Diehl, Ms. Darah, Mr. Blakeman, Mr. Czerniakowski and Mr. Malcolm for the challenging match. Congratulations to the NV QuizCats for a great season!

Attention Wildcat Sports Fans: The following is ticket information for this week’s District Boys Basketball and Hockey games.  Presale-tickets for Saturday’s Basketball game at the University of Toledo are $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.  All tickets at the door at $7.00.  The Wildcats will play the Start Spartans at 6:30pm.  Presale tickets for tonights District Hockey game against St. Francis are $7.00. The game is at 7:00 pm. This game will sell out!  All tickets can be purchased in the athletic office or main office.  See you at the games!

The Northview Musician of the Week is senior Eli Boyer, son of Paul and Christy Austin. Eli sings bass in the Northview A Cappella Choir and Harmony Road Show.  Eli also is a first year member of the Northview Theatre Department. This past Fall he also portrayed the role of Trucker in Northview’s production of “Working.” Apart from his musical activities, Eli works many hours at Chick-fil-a.

Teachers! Today is the day for the annual match between the  NV QuizCats and the staff. As always, the match is the best of three speed rounds and will begin immediately after school in room G-5! The pizza is on Mr. Lefevre. BE THERE!
