Musician of the Week: Senior, Matt Cook, is the Northview High School Musician of the Week. Matt has been an involved and talented member of the Northview Band all four years of high school.  Matt has demonstrated leadership and great musicianship throughout his time at Northview, this year he was the head of our loading crew, offering his services in this much needed student-led position.  Matt has been a member of Marching Band, Pep Band, Symphony Orchestra, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band and has performed successfully in OMEA honors competitions and festivals.  Matt is a multi-instrumentalist, showing his talents on tuba in our concert bands, and bass trombone in our jazz ensembles.  Matt is also involved with the Northview Varsity Swim Team.  Matt is the son of Mike and Merry Cook.

The Northview Theatre department is in the process of casting their upcoming summer production of RENT.  After the first round of auditions, we are in need of a student to portray the role of Angel.  Angel requires strong singing abilities and a willingness and ability to portray a drag queen.  Any interested students should reach out to Mr. Davis by the end of the school day today.

If yes, the Exploration of Culture and Service trip in Peru of Summer 2023 is perfect for you! Ms. Darah (DARE-AH) and Mr. Creech will be leading a trip to multiple locations in the gorgeous country of Peru where you will get to see breath-taking attractions like Monte Picchu, immerse yourself in the Peruvian culture and make a make a difference by helping local citizens build a greenhouse for food production. A virtual meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 17th at 6:00 pm. for all of those interested. The sophomore class is holding a fundraiser at the Panda Express on Central Avenue this Friday, May 13th. Take a photo of one of the posters around school and show the photo to the cashier and the sophomore class will receive 20% of your purchase.

Our annual Project Unify kickball game will take place this Sunday, May 15, from 1-2 pm. Project Unify is an opportunity for students with and without disabilities to simply play together. We will be playing at the Northview softball field and you can get volunteer hours for participating. Questions- ask Mrs. Weisenburger in D8

Musician of the Week: Senior Abs Guyton is the Northview High School Musician of the Week.  Abs has been an outstanding participating member of the Northview Performing Arts department all four years of high school.  As a leader in the saxophone section, choral department, as well as in the theatre department, Abs has made a positive impact on others both musically and socially.  As a band section leader this year, Abs has been a lead voice in the happenings of the band program year.  For the choral department and theatre department, Abs is a reliable resource of senior knowledge to others, having participated in so many ensembles and productions.  Abs has been a member of the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Cats, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, Women’s Chorus, Symphonic Choir, Acapella Choir, Theater productions (cast and crew), and has participated in numerous OMEA festivals and competition events.  Abs is the child of Martha Guyton & Andy Guyton.

Attention Seniors attending Prom: Any senior bringing a NON-NORTHVIEW student guest to Prom is required to submit a Dance Guest form to the main office no later than TODAY, Thursday, May 12. Any non-Northview students without this completed form will not be admitted to Saturday’s Prom. See Mrs. Schloegl or Mrs. Martin with any questions.

Ms. Darah (DARE-AH) and Mr. Creech will be leading a trip to multiple locations in the gorgeous country of Peru where you will get to see breath-taking attractions like Monte Picchu, immerse yourself in the Peruvian culture and make a make a difference by helping local citizens build a greenhouse for food production. A virtual meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 17th at 6:00 pm. for all of those interested. Class Olympics – Northview students will compete in events during the 9th annual Class Olympics at the end of the day Tuesday, May 17th. View the list of events at tinyurl.com/ClassOly, . Spots are first come first serve, so log in early to reserve your favorite event!

Musician of the Week: Senior Abs Guyton is the Northview High School Musician of the Week.  Abs has been an outstanding participating member of the Northview Performing Arts department all four years of high school.  As a leader in the saxophone section, choral department, as well as in the theatre department, Abs has made a positive impact on others both musically and socially.  As a band section leader this year, Abs has been a lead voice in the happenings of the band program year.  For the choral department and theatre department, Abs is a reliable resource of senior knowledge to others, having participated in so many ensembles and productions.  Abs has been a member of the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Cats, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, Women’s Chorus, Symphonic Choir, Acapella Choir, Theater productions (cast and crew), and has participated in numerous OMEA festivals and competition events.  Abs is the child of Martha Guyton & Andy Guyton.

Cafeteria: Students are reminded that Cell phones are NOT PERMITTED in the Breakfast or Lunch line.  Students using their phones will be asked to move to the end of the line so they don’t hold up the line.

Attention Seniors attending Prom: Any senior bringing a NON-NORTHVIEW student guest to Prom is required to submit a Dance Guest form to the main office no later than TOMORROW, Thursday, May 12. Any non-Northview students without this completed form will not be admitted to Saturday’s Prom. See Mrs. Schloegl or Mrs. Martin with any questions.

Seniors: To the class of 2022 the cafeteria staff would like all seniors to stop into the cafeteria Friday morning 7am-7:30 am to get their treat.. We’re so proud of you and wish all of you best of luck in your new adventures.

Hey seniors! Friday is Northview Spirit Wear Day and StuCo has a fun opportunity for you! Come down to E22 Today to paint your denim to wear Friday. We supply the paint, you bring your jeans or jean jackets!!

Attention Sophomores: Class Rings & Class Jewelry will be delivered on Wed. May 11th, during lunches in the Cafeteria. You will need to pay your remaining balance due to pick up your order.  Please pay online in advance or on delivery day with cash or money order.

The sophomore class is holding a fundraiser at the Panda Express on central avenue this Friday, May 13th. Take a photo of one of the posters around school and show the photo to the cashier and the sophomore class will receive 20% of your purchase.

Our annual Project Unify kickball game will take place this Sunday from 1-2 pm. Project Unify is an opportunity for students with and without disabilities to simply play together. We will be playing at the Northview softball field and you can get volunteer hours for participating. Questions- ask Mrs. Weisenburger in D8

SENIORS, you can no longer CHARGE (meaning go negative) on your lunch accounts as of 5/2/22. You must have a meal with you, money ON the account or pay cash. 

SENIORS: you can check the list outside of the office by ID number to see if you have a fee/fineChecks will be accepted until May 13th. Starting May 16th ONLY CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED. You will need to have the exact amount, as we do not have change or cash at school. (FEES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

Attention Seniors:  Tickets for AFTERprom are on sale. Bids are free for Northview Seniors, $10 for ALL guests. A Guest Dance form must be filled out. Remember… you can attend After Prom even if you don’t attend Prom! Tickets can be purchased through the  Northview athletics ticketing page, northviewwildcats.org, and choose the ticket drop down menu.   All tickets must be purchased by Tuesday May 10th.
