The 29th annual Northview Jazz Festival will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd.
This year we are proud to announce that our featured guests UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN JAZZ ENSEMBLE, will perform at 7:45PM. The festival will also showcase many of the outstanding high school jazz bands from Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. Performances begin at 4:00 p.m. in the Northview Performing Arts Center. Plan to join us for a great time! There will be a $2 admission charge at the door for adults (students get in free with student ID)
The Library Media Center is pleased to announce its next book club meeting! Wednesday, April 26th during lunches. We are reading Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. If you are interested in joining us, you can borrow a copy of the book from the Media Center.
Current lifeguards, if you need to update your lifeguard certification, there will be a class March 20 and 22nd. The American Red Cross has changed how they re-certify lifeguards, you must now take a longer class and there are new techniques to learn, so see Ms. Huey this week to sign up or email Ms. Huey for more information.
Attention seniors: The Sylvania Sunrise Lions Club has extended their scholarship deadline to
April 1, 2017. If you are a graduating senior with a minimum of 100 hours of volunteer service in the past 12 months you may be qualified. Stop down to the Guidance Office and check out the scholarship drawer.
Attention All Senior Student Athletes: Applications for the Athletic Booster Club Scholarships are now available in the Athletic Office. The Application deadline is April 13th. Please see Mr. Irwin if you have any questions.
IMPORTANT: Only juniors will attend school on March 21st, due to the ACT test administration. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Seniors will have the day off of school.

Black Swamp Rowing is looking for dedicated, hardworking high school aged individuals to join the team for spring Season. Alex Zuchowski, is the Musician of the Week. Alex has been a member of the Northview Band all four years of high school. Alex has demonstrated strong musicianship, leadership, and a joy for music in many ways throughout his career here at Northview. This year, Alex has been a squad leader, section leader, and principal horn of the Wind Ensemble. Alex has a fun demeanor that he brings into the ensemble and shares with his peers while striving to perform at his best. Alex has been a member of the Northview Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Pep Bands. Alex is also involved in Northview Varsity Hockey. Alex is the son of Ann and Frank Zuchowski
