PSAT: Attention students participating in the PSAT, You will need to report to the cafeteria Friday, 1st hour for the PSAT pre-administration paperwork. We will be completing all the paperwork necessary for next Wednesday’s testing. Travel students, go to Southview. We will conduct preadministration at another time
Musician of the Week:
Senior, Kat Arndt, is the Northview High School Musician of the Week. Kat has been an outstanding member of the Northview Band Program all four years of high school. Kat has demonstrated the highest level of musicianship and leadership in the Northview Band, Orchestra and Choir programs. As one of this year’s senior field commanders, Kat has been a tremendous leader to the band. Her positive attitude and wonderful playing add so much to the quality of the Northview music programs. Kat has been a member of; Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Pep Bands, Pit Orchestra, has played cello in the Concert Orchestra, sings Soprano in A Cappella Choir and has participated in multiple Honors bands, orchestras & OMEA festival events. Kat is also involved in Science Olympiad, Speech and Debate, and the 3D arts program. In addition, her work has been featured in the Focus Show and she has worked as a set designer and properties crew head for the theatre program. Kat is the daughter of Matt and Tina Arndt.
Attention Interact Members: We will be having a mandatory meeting for all members this Friday, October 6th. There will be one meeting @ 7am in the PAC, and one @ 2:30 in E3/E4. Check google classroom for more information.
Attention Seniors: Senior portraits are due next Friday – October 13! Email them to Ms. Huey. If you have questions or still need to have your portrait taken see Ms. Huey in room E-6.
DanceGOLD: If you have not turned in your DanceGOLD pledges, please turn them into Mrs. Omey in the library media center. Please submit all pledges TODAY.
Charity Softball Game: Tickets are on sale during lunch for the NV Teacher Charity Softball Game. Come out and support your favorite teachers. This year Mr. Dubiel’s Black team looks for redemption, as Mr. Roth’s Gold team tries to remain undefeated. Tickets are $4 pre-sale and $5 at the gate. All proceeds support our Dance Gold efforts and the Victory Center. See you there!
Drama Club: We will be having our monthly meeting today at 2:30 in the Black Box Theatre. Come for fun, games, and snacks! Please bring your $5 dues.
Swim and Dive: For those interested in participating on the Swim and Dive Team this winter, there will be an informational pre-season meeting on Wednesday, October 11th at 7 pm in the cafeteria.
Homecoming: This is your final chance! Homecoming Bids are on sale during all lunch periods through today. Bids are $15 per person and you must complete a bid form and guest form prior to purchasing. Please check your school email to receive the form, or see Ms. Davis in B2 with any questions
Hispanic Heritage Month: September 15-October 15 marks Hispanic Heritage Month. It is important to take this time to recognize the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the group’s heritage and culture

Book Club: Northview High School’s Library Media Center is pleased to announce its next book club meeting!! This semester we are reading The Maze Runner by James Dashner. Our meeting will be held on Monday, October 23, during each of the lunch periods. If you are interested in joining us, please see Mrs. Omey in the library media center to borrow a copy of the book. The senior class receives 10% of all session and print purchases when you provide the fundraiser post card.
