Schedule I

Attention PSAT testers, On Wednesday, 10/11 you will need to report to the gymnasium by 7:30 a.m. At that time you will be informed which gym you will be testing at (Aux Gym or Main Gym). You must be on time.
Transfer students, DO NOT go to Southview Wednesday. You will be testing at Northview.
Get a good night sleep and review material in the booklet given during registration.

Coexist meeting in e22 today after school

Congratulations to the Northview QuizCats who dominated their host Springfield Blue Devils in their first match yesterday! The varsity was paced by junior captain Patrick Andres with 55 points and the JV was led by freshman phenom George Haffir with 65 points. Northview’s cross town rivals Southview is next on the schedule. Good luck NV QuizCats!

Ecycling Day: Bring us your old electronics and we will recycle them. Support Northview Volleyball & keep the environment clean and healthy! Drop items at Northview Saturday, October 14, 2017 9am-1pm. $5 donations are appreciated!

Attention all Speech and Debate members! The parent meeting has been moved to this Thursday at 7pm in F7. Also don’t forget, practice starts this week. Our first tournament will be November 11th.

Musician of the Week:
Senior, Kat Arndt, is the Northview High School Musician of the Week. Kat has been an outstanding member of the Northview Band Program all four years of high school. Kat has demonstrated the highest level of musicianship and leadership in the Northview Band, Orchestra and Choir programs. As one of this year’s senior field commanders, Kat has been a tremendous leader to the band. Her positive attitude and wonderful playing add so much to the quality of the Northview music programs. Kat has been a member of; Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Pep Bands, Pit Orchestra, has played cello in the Concert Orchestra, sings Soprano in A Cappella Choir and has participated in multiple Honors bands, orchestras & OMEA festival events. Kat is also involved in Science Olympiad, Speech and Debate, and the 3D arts program. In addition, her work has been featured in the Focus Show and she has worked as a set designer and properties crew head for the theatre program. Kat is the daughter of Matt and Tina Arndt.

Attention Seniors: Senior portraits are due Friday – October 13! Email them to Ms. Huey. If you have questions or still need to have your portrait taken see Ms. Huey in room E-6.

Swim and Dive: For those interested in participating on the Swim and Dive Team this winter, there will be an informational pre-season meeting on Wednesday, October 11th at 7 pm in the cafeteria.

Hispanic Heritage Month: September 15-October 15 marks Hispanic Heritage Month. It is important to take this time to recognize the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the group’s heritage and culture.

Book Club: Northview High School’s Library Media Center is pleased to announce its next book club meeting!! This semester we are reading The Maze Runner by James Dashner. Our meeting will be held on Monday, October 23, during each of the lunch periods. If you are interested in joining us, please see Mrs. Omey in the library media center to borrow a copy of the book. All students are invited to join

Powderpuff: Practices will be on October 10, 16&17 after school 2:30-3:30
The game will be on October 25th!

Attention anyone interested in getting senior pictures taken: Get your pictures taken at RELICS IMAGING located behind PNC Bank on Monroe St. in Sylvania. The senior class receives 10% of all session and print purchases when you provide the fundraiser post card.
