Attention Northview: Northview is starting a chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. FCA will be meeting in room C-12 Tuesday mornings at 7:00 starting tomorrow, November 7. All students are welcome! Questions? See Mr. Christy in C-12.
Chess Club begins tomorrow, November 7th in F-2 after school til 3:45.
What are you doing with your summers? You could be traveling to Germany, Costa Rica, France and other amazing locations around the world! Bring your family to Global Education Night tomorrow, November 7th at 6:30 pm in the Cafeteria to learn all about the opportunities you have to travel abroad while in high school.
Northview High School’s fall musical production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella takes the stage November 16-19 in the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are currently on sale at northviewtheatre.org and are selling quickly. Tickets will be available next week in the cafeteria during lunch periods beginning on Monday, 11/13.
Seniors – check your email! This year we want to add senior quotes to the yearbook, but we need 80% of the senior class to participate in order to do it! So respond to the poll in your email before November 13 with the quote you want in the yearbook. If we don’t reach 80% of the class responding, we won’t put them in the yearbook.
World Language Events: Tomorrow, November 7th through Friday, November 10th. Join us to watch a movie in Spanish during lunch.
Attention all Speech and Debaters: this week’s parent meeting will be on Thursday, November 9th in F-7. Also, don’t forget to sign up for November Meets!
Attention any current lifeguards that need to re-certify right now. There will be a re-certification today. Contact Ms. Huey at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up and for more information. There will be another class in the spring if you need one at that time.
Musician of the Week: The Northview musician of the week is senior violinist Karen Pan. Karen is a member of the Chamber Orchestra, Pit Orchestra, North Covers, and the Senior String Quartet. Karen has represented Northview in the OMEA NW Regional Orchestra, District Orchestra, performs regularly at Solo and Ensemble. She was also selected to perform in New York City as part of the Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. Here at Northview, Karen is also involved in National Honor Society, Leadership Academy, is the News Editor for the Student Prints, is involved in class and student government, and is a cheerleader. A private student of Yang – Kun Song, Karen is the daughter of Kevin Pan and Lingyu Chen.
Northview ACT Test Prep Course: Northview will be holding ACT Prep courses starting in November. Pick up your sign-up form from the main office and have it turned in with your Test Prep Book payment by 2 P.M. on Tuesday, November 14th. Testing begins November 17th. There will be six sessions that you should plan to attend throughout November and early December. The course is limited to the first 30 students to sign up with priority given to Junior and Senior students.
