Seniors – check your email! This year we want to add senior quotes to the yearbook, but we need 80% of the senior class to participate in order to do it! Today is the last day to respond with the quote you want in the yearbook. If we don’t reach 80% of the class responding, we won’t put them in the yearbook.
Northview ACT Test Prep Course: Northview will be holding ACT Prep courses this month. Pick up your sign-up form from the main office and have it turned in with your Test Prep Book payment by 2 P.M., tomorrow. Testing begins November 17th with a full length practice exam on Saturday, November 18th. The course is limited to the first 30 students to sign up with priority given to Junior and Senior students.
Attention Students – we are hosting our first “Trades Day Tuesday” learning lunch tomorrow in the guidance office. During all lunch periods, there will be a representative from the Painters Local 7 & Glaziers Local 948 here to talk about their profession and the opportunities available in it. Sign up is in the guidance office.
Poinsettia sale is back! Poinsettias are available to order is three sizes, ranging in price from $5-30. See Mrs. Omey or Joey Okeke for more info. Sale ends November 15.
Northview High School’s fall musical production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella takes the stage this week in the Performing Arts Center. Tickets will be available in the cafeteria during your lunch periods and at the PAC Box Office today and tomorrow from 5-7 PM. Tickets are also still available online at northviewtheatre.org.
This Friday is our annual blood drive. Your whole blood donation may help up to three lives. Make sure you eat iron-enriched foods this week to help you prepare for your donation. Remember, all those 16 year olds must have their parental permission forms turned into the Main Office or Mrs. Johnson, Med Tech Teacher.
Musician of the Week: The Northview Musician of the Week is senior Elizabeth Atkins, daughter of Mark and Maureen Atkins. Elizabeth is a soprano in the Northview A Cappella Choir and Harmony Road Show. She was a Soprano 2 in the Ohio All State choir and a Soprano 2 in the All National Ensemble Choir. Elizabeth is an active member of Northview Theatre department. Elizabeth was selected as one of twelve for the opening show of the International Thespian Festival, Spark of Creation. She has performed alongside of Broadway stars for the past 2 years in Broadway Back to School at 54 below in NYC. Elizabeth has portrayed the roles of Rona in the 25th Annual Spelling Bee and Hope in Ureintown the Muscial. She is also the Northwest area Ohio State Thespian Officer. Apart from her musical activites, Elizabeth is a member of the yearbook staff, student council, class government and President of Drama Club. After graduation Elizabeth hopes to major in Vocal Performance at an undecided university.
