Come learn and immerse yourself in the Thai Festival, Yi Peng as we eat food from the culture and discuss this occasion together. Come down after school in F8!

There will be a short meeting for both the boys and girls tennis teams in the cafeteria right after school Monday Nov. 20th.

You guess the size and color of the North Face, its yours. Please check with Mrs. Bohland in the Attendance/Student Service Office.

Today is our annual blood drive. Please report to the Auxiliary Gym at your assigned appointment. Staff interested in donating may go to the head of the line!

We will allow seniors to turn in their senior quotes the rest of this week – we are almost to the 80% of the class, we are at 60% right now, November 18th.

Northview’s fall musical Cinderella opened last night to a rousing standing ovation and runs all weekend in the PAC. All remaining shows are now sold out. If you wish to see the show but don’t have tickets, plan to arrive at the box office 1 1/2 hours prior to curtain to get your name on the waiting list. Held tickets will be released at 5 minutes until curtain. There will be a limited number of Standing Room Only tickets available as well. For specifics, please see our procedures on our social media posts. Thanks to all in our Northview community for the tremendous support!

Musician of the Week: Senior, Spencer Johnson, is the Northview High School Musician of the Week. Spencer has been a member of the Northview Band, Choir, and Theatre Programs all four years of high school. He has been involved in Marching Band, Symphony Orchestra, Pep Band, all three of the Northview Concert Bands, Jazz Band, Acapella Choir, Mens Chorus, Harmony Road Show, and barbershop quartet. Spencer has also participated in various honors music ensembles and festivals and is involved with the National Honor Society.

Tomorrow is the Blood Drive! Blood donation is a simple four-step process: registration, medical history and mini-physical, donation and refreshments. Don’t forget to eat iron-rich foods, start drinking lots of fluids the night before, get a good night’s rest and eat a big breakfast and lunch on drive day and keep drinking water!! Remember to bring a picture ID!

Northview ‘s ACT Prep Courses will begin Friday, November 17th at 2:35 in G7. There will be a full length practice exam on Saturday, November 18th at 8:00, also in G7.

This Friday is our annual blood drive. One out of 10 people admitted into the hospital need blood. The Toledo area is currently experiencing a severe shortage of blood. Make sure your diet includes meats, eggs, chicken, dark leafy vegetables and beans!

Attention all students! Join us for our first Business Professionals of America meeting after school today in Ms. Davis’ room, B2. Hope to see you there!

Seniors – check your email! This year we want to add senior quotes to the yearbook, but we need 80% of the senior class to participate in order to do it! Today is the last day to respond with the quote you want in the yearbook. If we don’t reach 80% of the class responding, we won’t put them in the yearbook.

Northview ACT Test Prep Course: Northview will be holding ACT Prep courses this month. Pick up your sign-up form from the main office and have it turned in with your Test Prep Book payment by 2 P.M., tomorrow. During all lunch periods, there will be a representative from the Painters Local 7 & Glaziers Local 948 here to talk about their profession and the opportunities available in it. Sign up is in the guidance office.

Musician of the Week: The Northview Musician of the Week is senior Elizabeth Atkins, daughter of Mark and Maureen Atkins. Elizabeth is a soprano in the Northview A Cappella Choir and Harmony Road Show. She was a Soprano 2 in the Ohio All State choir and a Soprano 2 in the All National Ensemble Choir. Elizabeth is an active member of Northview Theatre department. Elizabeth was selected as one of twelve for the opening show of the International Thespian Festival, Spark of Creation. She has performed alongside of Broadway stars for the past 2 years in Broadway Back to School at 54 below in NYC. Elizabeth has portrayed the roles of Rona in the 25th Annual Spelling Bee and Hope in Ureintown the Muscial. She is also the Northwest area Ohio State Thespian Officer. Apart from her musical activites, Elizabeth is a member of the yearbook staff, student council, class government and President of Drama Club. After graduation Elizabeth hopes to major in Vocal Performance at an undecided university.
